A 46-bedroom design hotel in Cheltenham

The George

The George hotel occupies five Grade II-listed Regency townhouses. You’ll still find sweeping staircases, ornate coving, and elegant panelling, but they’re paired with bold colours, mismatched textures, and industrial design.

A new way to stay

When it comes to the rooms, we've focussed on the raw ingredients and cut out the fluff. Brilliant as boltholes for business travellers or anything-but-ordinary bases for late night revellers, all the rooms feature fantastic beds, epic showers, and super fast WiFi.

And with contactless check-in, a 24-hour pantry, and drop-and-go check-out, we've combined signature style with the simplicity of self service to offer you a new way to stay.

Edgy room

Ideal for solo travellers, yet still spacious enough for two, our Edgy rooms include everything you could possibly need for a short stay in the Cotswolds.

Urban room

Our Urban rooms are a little more on the roomy side. In each one you'll find midnight blues, seagrass greens, and gunmetal greys paired with polished brass fixtures.

Cool room

Our Cool rooms have plenty of space to crash out in. Each one comes with a cosy seating area and pairs super soft textures with bold pops of pattern and colour.

Culture room

Our Culture rooms are as spacious as they come and feature great views and stunning interiors as standard. Some are also interconnecting, making them perfect for families.

Breakfast is served...

For those mornings after the night before or grab-a-coffee-and-croissant-to-go kinda days, there's the breakfast diner. Expect a selection of delicious, nutritious feasts, from hearty full English breakfasts to continental fare that was made for grazing on.

Feeling peckish?

The pantry is there for you when you're feeling a little peckish or you've forgotten anything from headphones to make up. Open day and night, it's where you can pick up a selection of drinks, light bites, everyday essentials, and even locally made gifts.
